Jorogumo: The Spider Woman
This May, ImproMafia calls on the ghosts of the dead
From exotic fox maidens and seductive spirits to cannibal ogres and spider monsters, Jorogumo touches on the ethereal and eerie side of Eastern fairy tales and ghostly lore – and explores Japanese culture through the eyes of geisha girls, monks and samurai.
But with each successive tale of love, murder and revenge, the room grows ever darker as ghostly figures awake from their slumber and descend upon the theatre. A restless summer wind is blowing – the spirits of the dead have been summoned…
